Trumpeter Pointe

Environmental Leadership

Long before we commenced construction at Trumpeter Pointe, freshwater and vegetation ecologists joined our team to help us protect the environment . In close dialogue with all 3 levels of government, they developed an innovative plan for protecting the sensitive riparian zone along the shore of the lake, so you will be able to enjoy the beauty of your surroundings for years to come.

Our goal is to have no negative impact on the lake. We integrated the design of the properties and roadways to create a system that meets the new, far-seeing federal and provincial guidelines for environmental protection.  Trumpeter Pointe is among the very first developments in the province to be protected by this legislation, and we are being touted for the pro-active measures being taken here.

Our unique design mimics natural drainage patterns and filters out contaminants to protect and preserve the environment.  It captures the storm water spilling down from higher elevations; slows its flow; and allows it to settle using artistically-designed swales and a storm-water detention pond planted with native vegetation.  We have carefully integrated the systems on individual lots with the roadway systems and with regional systems to provide a multi-stage approach to environmental protection.

The sensitive riparian zone along the lakeshore is the jewel of Trumpeter Pointe.  Our environmental biologists have worked intensely with all levels of government to assure the preservation of it for generations to come.  We are establishing a unique covenant between the local municipal government and lakefront property owners - a guideline to help owners understand how to do their part in maintaining the lake health by maintaining the environmental integrity of their frontage on the lake.
